The 3-hour workshop 'Preparing for death' explores the edges of the present moment through a series of somatic, artistic and perceptual ideas and activities, combining art with the bodywork approaches of Alexander Technique and Perceptive Pedagogy. By listening to the information provided by the psycho-physical-spiritual unity about both our inner movement and outer environment, we can reconnect to the sensory body and therefore become more present.
Please note: this workshop involves some touch, movement and voicing (mic/camera optional). Participants are invited to have with them pen and paper, a book and a cushion to use during the workshop.
David Young is an Alexander Technique teacher and performance coach from Australia, now based in Berlin. In his work David also draws on his experience as a composer, artistic director, gymnastics coach, social entrepreneur and mental health worker.
