Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) improves quality of life and increases well-being, mood, empathy and attention. It reduces symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and pain.
The beneficial effects are supported by findings from brain research. The structure and function of the brain change in the areas related to regulating stress.

MBCT is an abbreviation of "Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy". The MBCT program is for you if you have or have had depression, and if you wish to prevent a relapse.
The Danish Health Authority recommends MBSR and MBCT as a treatment of stress and depression, but the treatment has yet to be implemented.

Mindfulness Tools (MT) is an intensive residential course of four days which draws upon elements and exercises from the eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course (MBSR).
The course is relevant both for participants who have their very first encounter with MBSR and for those who are already developing a practice or who wish to "brush up" after a period of time.

Compassion training has a unique focus on handling uncomfortable emotions and can help you have the courage and strength to be with pain and suffering when life is hard.
A systematic practice of compassion increases attention and understanding of own thoughts, feelings and behaviour. You develop tools to form healthier relations to yourself and others.

Compassion is a new and developing research area. With the CFE course ("Compassion, forskning og evidens"), you will get insights into the newest research on compassion and a deeper understanding of the research in the field within eight topics.
Simultaneously, you are invited to practice compassion. The loving kindness meditation will be a common thread in the course.

The semianrs are for everyone who has an interest in working professionally with mindfulness and compassion. Topics include inquiry, psychiatry, stress.

The Danish Center for Mindfulness hosts retreats on different locations in Denmark on an ongoing basis. Our teachers are experienced and recognized mindfulness and meditation teachers who fulfil the criteria for the retreats we offer.
Retreats are a mandatory part of the teacher trainings in mindfulness and compassion.
